Katrina: Ayokong mababoy ako

KATRINA HALILI is one of the stars feted by GMA Artist Center for turned 20 last January 4. We ask her what's the reaction she got for her sexy pictorial at FHM? "My relatives were surprised. First time nila ko nakitang ganoon.

But eventually, they were able to appreciate it kasi sexy nga but not bastos. Sa public, very positive ang feedback."

Many writers are saying if she'd agree to do a sexy film, it'd be a hit. Will she agree to be launched in a bold flick? "I'm flattered na they believe in me, but first, I have to be sure about the kind of movie they'd offer to me before I even consider doing it. Like sa FHM, I rejected their first layout kasi hindi ko kaya, so they came up with something na mas nagustuhan ko. I'd only go sexy if the story is really good at hindi ako mabababoy."

Who'd she to direct her and who'd she prefer to be her leading men with whom she can do love scenes? "Sa director, I'd like Eric Quizon na dinirek ako sa 'Darna' or Rico Gutierrez who megged me in 'Love to Love'. May tiwala ako sa kanila. Sa leading men, I want someone na comfortable ako, like Dion Ignacio with whom I'm paired now sa 'Love to Love', or Mark Herras and Rainier Castillo na friends ko talaga. Sa dati nang artista, I prefer Kuya Dingdong Dantes na host namin sa Starstruck."

Aside from "Love to Love," she's also a regular now in "Ganda ng Lola Ko" as Camille Prats' best friend. She was told she might also be in the cast of "Darna II".

We ask her StarStruck colleagues what they can say about Katrina's going sexy? "When I saw her sa FHM, I said 'wow'," says Yasmien Kurdi. "Ang batch lang namin ang may Katrina Halili. 'Yung iba, wala."

"She's okay kasi may K siya," says Sheena Halili. "Kung may K akong gaya niya, I'll also do it."

Mercado. "When I saw her pictures, I want to ask 'yung ibang batch: 'O kaya n'yo ba 'yan?'" They seem to be closer to one another than other StarStruck batches. "Kasi kami ang first and when we were doing the show, hindi pa namin alam talaga kung anong klaseng contest yon kaya we're all friendly, walang kumpetisyon," says Yasmien. "Unlike the other batches na alam na nila what will happen kaya, ayan, may controversies pa sila."
