Katrina Halili is always the second best at anything she does in show business. When she tried her luck in StarStruck, the best she could have was to be an avenger. Although she received favorable reviews for playing Angel Locsin's archenemy in two tele-fantasya shows, Darna and Majika, she was still cast in a supporting role after that, with Richard Guttierez in Lupin. Even her bid to snatch the lead role in the upcoming local version of Marimar, the Mexican telenovela starred in by the popular Thalia, was snuffed out when GMA-7 give Thalia's role to the lesser known Marian Rivera.
Katrina though is a champion when it comes to popularity surveys. For two years in a row, she has topped the "100 Sexiest" list of the local edition of FHM, as the sexiest woman in the land. She is the first StarStruck contestant to top the list; even Locsin was merely a second best. While she may give the impression that she's a non-conformist, this vixen is actually a patriot. Believe it or not, her favorite book is Noli Me Tangere, and her favorite author? Jose Rizal. —
